Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST)

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is responsible for the education sector in Sierra Leone. Its role includes policy making, setting educational standards, supervision and oversight on all educational institutions including schools (nursery, primary and secondary), vocational institutes and tertiary institutions.

The Sierra Leone Police (SLP)

The Sierra Leone Police is responsible for the enforcement of the law, the detection, prevention and prosecution of crime, protection of life and property, maintenance of public order, enforcement of traffic rules and regulations, safety and security, and for ensuring access to justice.

Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MoHS)

The Ministry of Health and Sanitation has overall responsibility for ensuring the delivery and coordination of quality health care delivery interventions in Sierra Leone. This includes oversight of all health facilities (both private and public) – and all Peripheral Health Units (PHUs) .It is also responsible for ensuring access to health care services by citizens in the most efficient, equitable and affordable way.
